Pro Boxer Vernon Forrest Killed

38 year old boxer, Vernon Forrest lost his life to a senseless act of violence. According to Atlanta police, Forrest stopped at a gas station on Whitehall Street around 11 p.m. Saturday night, with his 11-year-old godson, visiting from Texas. As the boy went inside to use the bathroom and buy snacks, Forrest went to the rear of his Jaguar to add air to a low tire. It was then when a male suspect robbed him at gunpoint and fled. Forrest, reportedly armed, chased after the man a short distance, to an area near McDaniel and Fulton streets. Shots were exchanged, police said. Giving up the chase, and turning to return to the gas station, Forrest was shot seven to eight times in the back, according to police.

The ironic thing about this was Vernon tweeted last week, July 19th about a nightmare he had:

"Man I had a nightmare last nite I dreamt I come home and found 4 guys were breaking into my house. I pull my heater [gun] and it was empty they chased me and was about to shoot me then I woke up. The first thing I did was get my heater [gun] and made sure it was loaded. That dream will not come true."

Vernon had a 12 yr. old son, Vernon, Jr. This is so sad this had to happen. If someone wants to rob you of your items, let them have it. Its only material things that can be bought back. Your life, can not be bought back. Lets keep the Forrest family and friends high in our prayers.

T.I Ordered By Courts To Pay MORE Child Support...

ATLANTA — A judge on Tuesday ordered rapper T.I. to pay more child support to the mother of two of his children after she claimed he wasn't providing enough money.
Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane told the two-time Grammy winner, whose real name is Clifford Harris, to pay just over $3,000 a month to LaShon Dixon. He had been paying about $2,000 per month.

The judge also said the 27-year-old performer must continue to pay for the boys to attend private school, uninsured medical bills and expenses related to the children's extracurricular activities.
Tipton Lane also awarded the couple on Tuesday joint custody of the boys, ages 7 and 8. Dixon, 28, was granted primary physical custody. The children previously spent about 40 percent of their time with the rapper.
Dixon's attorney, Randy Kessler, said his client is still unsatisfied with the amount the judge ordered T.I. to pay but is happy to receive more child support.
"Every little bit helps," Kessler said. "She was just getting by with the children, while they lived a different life with their father. It can't be complete opposites on the other side."
An e-mail to one of T.I.'s lawyers was not immediately returned Tuesday.
He also has two sons with his fiancee, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, of the defunct R&B group Xscape, and a daughter from a previous relationship.
