Michael Vick Interviews with 60 Minutes
Mike Vick sat down with James Brown yesterday for an interview with 60 minutes. Mike paid his debt to society. He fought dogs, he paid the price and now its time for him to move on with his life. Yes, what he did was wrong, but he has done everything that he has needed to do. How about we support him and accept his apology he has given rather than try to break down everything he says. At the end of the day, we are not the one that judges him. We all know who the final judge is...

Michael Vick "To Play" OR "Not To Play"

Not quite sure what the big deal is. Vick payed his debt to society... Its either, YES or NO! Come on Commissioner. Can he play or not?????
Via NFL Fanhouse: On Thursday afternoon, ESPN reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would reinstate the suspended former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, and that if a team signed Vick, he would then be suspended for his first four regular-season games.
That came as news to the NFL, which went on Twitter to dispute the report.
Greg Aiello, the spokesman for the league, posted this on Twitter Thursday evening: "Despite what ESPN says, commish has made no decisions on MVick." Other NFL employees then re-tweeted Aiello's tweet.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen had previously tweeted that a three-hour meeting between Goodell and Vick would lead to a conditional reinstatement and a four-game suspension after training camp if Vick could sign with a team. But when Mortensen saw the NFL PR staff's tweets, he responded, "Despite what anyone says, ESPN did not report a decision has been made, based on what I just read on dot.com."
But then Mortensen went to ESPN.com and tweeted again: "I take that back. After this 12-hr drive, I just read the espn.com story and the lead is erroneous. Guess I can't get to bed yet."
After that tweet, ESPN changed its report, and the story that's currently posted at ESPN.com says only that "Goodell may be close to reaching a decision" and that a reinstatement "could also include a four-game suspension."
So two days after sitting on a story about a star quarterback that everyone else was reporting, ESPN rushed into a story about a star quarterback without getting all its facts straight. As Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted, ESPN has had a very bad week.

Steve McNair Shot While Asleep
It was a sad day when the news broke that Steve McNair was found shot to death in the company of a woman other than his wife, 20 year old Sahel Kazemi. Police now believe that Kazemi shot and killed Mcnair while he slept on the couch before turning the gun on herself.“She sat next to his body after shooting him and positioned herself to fall onto his lap after she committed suicide. She did land on his lap, but her body slid to the floor and ended at his feet.”
This is such a sad story. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mcnair family at this difficult time.

Mike Vick Is Home...

Mike served 19 months in prison on dogfighting convictions. The hot topic in the sports world is, Should he be allowed to play football again? His agent, Joel Segal, who negotiated Vick's 10-year $130 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons says, "Football is on the back burner for now!"
My thoughts are, Vick did the crime, he paid the time, now lets keep it moving. He most definatly should be able to play football again. It is his profession!!! What are your thoughts????

Plaxico Burress Charged
Plaxico Burress, who is out on bail, faces at least 3 1/2 years in state prison on each of two counts. The New York Time: Plaxico Burress, the New York Giants' talented but controversial receiver, helped his team win Super Bowl XLII last season with a game-winning touchdown catch, but he has also caused the team a series of headaches with his off-field behavior. Now, Burress faces charges for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit after he accidentally shot himself in the thigh on Nov. 28 in a Manhattan nightclub.
Burress, 31, came to the Giants as a free agent in 2005 and was re-signed to a five-year, $35 million contract in September. On the field, Burress has been productive. In the Giants' championship season, he played all 20 regular season and playoff games, despite an ankle injury that kept him from practicing most of the season, and led the Giants with 70 catches for 1,025 yards and 12 touchdowns. Burress has led the Giants in catches (209), receiving yards (3,227) and touchdowns (29) in his first three seasons with the team. In his career, he has caught at least 60 passes in a season six times and surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in a season four times. Before joining the Giants, Burress played five seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But Burress has brought his share of trouble. The Giants fined him $25,000 for refusing to practice at a mini-camp in June, and he missed most of training camp with an injury. In September, he was fined and suspended for 12 days by the Giants for missing a team meeting without notifying them. Burress said he was attending to family matters. He was fined $45,000 by the N.F.L. for abuse of an official and for throwing the ball in the stands during an October game against San Francisco.
The latest episode came the day after Thanksgiving when he is alleged to have carried an unregistered gun into a Manhattan nightclub, the Latin Quarter, and the gun discharged. Police and N.F.L. officials are both investigating the incident. Burress surrendered to police in Manhattan on the morning of Dec. 1 on the gun charge and will plead not guilty to charges of criminal possession of a handgun.
